The Executive Board approved a complete revision to the OOTA Bylaws at the November meeting, which is now being submitted to the membership for a vote. The proposal will be discussed at the general OOTA meeting on February 2, 2008. Voting on the change will take place after the discussion. You should have the current version of the Bylaws in your 2008 Membership Handbook, which was just mailed to you. The proposed revision, as well as a comparison between the current Bylaws and the proposed Bylaws are available by clicking on the links below. Compassion of Current Bylaws and the Proposed Bylaws (. pdf) The proposed Bylaws remove most of the policy and procedure information from the document, and leave basic structure. The policies and procedures will then be included in an expanded version of the OOTA Policy and Procedure Manual, which can be updated more easily than the Bylaws. Please let me or another Executive Board member know if you have questions, or bring your concerns to the February 2 meeting.
