Skills for the Job of Living

On March 31st, 2007 the Oklahoma Occupational Therapy Association partnered with Lowes Home Improvement Stores to kick off the celebration of "April is Occupational Therapy Month”. Lowes stores at 15th and Yale in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Midwest City, and Norman participated. A demonstration on "How to Build a Raised Flower Bed" was provided at several of the stores.  Information was handed out on Gardening for Healthy Living. Examples of ergonomic tools were on display that could be purchased in the store. The stores had Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy students on hand to assist, promote occupational therapy and encourage customers to visit the demonstration area.
